It provides the government with new powers to ensure the rapid growth of EVCI on motorways and at petrol stations. In addition, Germany established the German National Platform for Electric Mobility, an advisory body to the German government, in October 2014 to analyse the development of electric vehicles and the charging infrastructure available to the public for electric vehicles. Other European countries, such as France, the UK, Germany and Belgium, are also working to develop EV charging and support infrastructure to enable interoperability of EVs across the region.
